Dots and Stripes

Thank you for all the tips,words of wisdom, and advice about college! All of them were so helpful and i'm definitely feeling a lot less stressed and a lot more excited for college:)

And I didn't even notice until now, but this outfit almost looks patriotic. You know, if the dots were actually stars, haha. Usually, I go to a barbecue of some sort for Fourth of July, but I think this year, i'm just going to be relaxing at home. I'm actually really bad at barbecuing; I always manage to burn something so much that I can't even recognize what it is. Is it a meat or a vegetable? Who knows. But it's okay because I can make cookies and that makes up for it. Or at least that's what I tell myself.

Camo and Floral

A few days ago, while I was brainstorming what to write for my common app essay, I started thinking about what I wanted to do in the future. I thought I wanted to major in business administration (for maybe a year now) and I've been looking mostly at colleges that have business programs, but I don't know if that's what I want to do.

 Then while I was getting ready to go to sleep yesterday, the words "software developer" just popped up in my mind. But it's so weird because I was really tired so I have no idea where that came from. (I guess I think more clearly at midnight?) So anyway, i'm still trying to brainstorm possible directions I can head in :) I know i'm probably not going to know exactly what I'll do, but I still like having a general idea so I don't feel so lost while i'm applying to schools.

How did you figure out what you want to do?

Oh and I've been taking my own photos for a few posts now and I gotta say, it's so much less awkward to take pictures in public places when I take it myself because when people ask what i'm doing, I can just say that it's for photography class! :)

Bow, Bow, Bow

Lately I've been watching a lot of movie trailers on youtube haha. I don't even watch the movie, I just love watching trailers. It's soo addicting but it's also super time wasting because then it just leads to watching a bunch of Ellen videos :P Do you have any favorite type of youtube videos? Ooo I also love baby panda videos!

#1: Recently... (Lots of changes!)

I've wanted to tweak my blog layout for awhile now so I decided I might as well give my whole blog a face lift (including the content)! So now i'll be posting 3 times a week: Sunday and Wednesday will be outfit posts and Friday will be either Recently or How to Wear posts.

So without further ado, here's my first ever "Recently..." type post in which I will be sharing more about what's happening in my life through what i'm wearing, eating, seeing, and reading :) Hopefully you'll get to know me better and i'll get to know you better too!

1. I'm pretty much wearing denim shorts everyday :p What's your summer uniform?

2. Surprise! More shorts. 

3. I was too hungry and I ate half the burger before I took the picture. 

4. I went to San Francisco on Monday with my friends for a shopping trip! I love looking at all these buildings while walking around :) But on the way back home, some guy with a knife ran into one of the train tunnels so all caltrains weren't allowed to leave. Booo.

5. Currently reading this book for school. So far i've read half a page haha. But i'm working on it!

Bright Summer Style

I'm studying to get my driver's permit this week! I was going to start learning how to drive a year ago but SATs got in the way so that's why i'm starting so late :(. But hopefully i'll be able to start driving soon :)

I was camp counseling last week at the zoo and while I was picking up some stuff from the animal room, I saw a whiteboard with all the things the staff has heard our parrot say (since he usually just squawks or says "hello"). Here's something from the whiteboard:

Zoo staff member (said to the ferrets after putting in new play structures): "Have fun, guys!" 

Parrot: "I will."

and 

Parrot: "yeah...I don't think so" (said with a ton of attitude)

The parrot also really likes listening to country music so sometimes we leave the radio on for him to listen to. He's a funny bird :)

Mint Necklace

This weekend, I finally started researching colleges to apply to in the fall and now I have around 25 colleges on my list, so i'll definitely have to take out a few (okay maybe a lot) of them haha. I also erroneously thought that if a college uses the common app, that I would only have to write the common app essay but oh well, I guess not. I'm just glad I found out now instead of a week before it's due.So far, most of the colleges on my list are in California but there's also some on the east coast and Canada :)

School Outfit #2

Today I took my last final and now I feel so freeeee. I also just ordered books from amazon so that I can get started on my summer reading list and I bought a lot of ice cream so that I can eat and read at the same time. It's one of my favorite things to do! :)

Hmm so last week I said I was maybe going to Hawaii next summer but now i'm thinking of possibly going somewhere else.  I've never been to the east coast before so maybe i'll go there! There are just so many places I want to go and I cannot make up my mind. I was also looking on pinterest in the travel section (so addicting!) for places to go and it just made me want to go to even more places haha. And I LOVE airports. Probably more than shoes. Seriously. Me and airports/traveling is like Sheldon and trains (Big Bang Theory!). Anyway, do you have any suggestions on cities I should visit? :D

And I think I might also have to go on a shopping ban again to save up for this trip. But hopefully this second shopping ban won't be as hard as the first :)
