Floral+Leopard print

skirt:c/o chicnova//top:editor's market//shoes:forever21//jacket: victoria's secret

Hmmmm i'm wearing a lot of brown today. You know what else is brown? Chocolate cake and chocolate chip cookies. I used to have this book that was all about chocolate and it had recipes and even the history of chocolate. Anyway, there was this recipe for chocolate chip cookies and I followed it exactly (terrible mistake) because it told me to put more than double the amount of butter than flour so the cookies ended up melting into this huge pile of goo. Actually, it tasted kinda nice. Especially when I spread it over bread.... I had to eat it with a spoon though. haha did I just gross you out?

  10. hahaha that recipe sounds like it wouldn't have made the best cookies, but spread over bread... so basically like Nutella? man, when I was little I would eat weird things, too. Your little story made me laugh! :)

I like all your brown. Especially your pretty leopard skirt and that royal blue printed top! And the light is so so pretty in these pictures, Joyce! :D Your pictures are just always so beautiful, but I like this set especially.

And awww, oh my goodness, your comment was really sweet, Joyce. :( <3 I am glad that I'm not the only one who has to deal with these things, and I hate how we believe we have to put so much importance on a stupid number! We should probably both work on that together, even if it is really super hard to not let it affect us. :) Thank you so very much for the support. You are such a lovely blog friend and I am glad to have met someone as amazing as you. <3

  22. Hahahaha you really need to do more posts dedicated to your culinary adventures. I've never heard of cookie batter melting away and being runny. Definitely a first. And all this talk of chocolate is making me queezy *gasp* I know, I've just indulged too much in the past two days and not looking forward to this weekends festivities :o|

  26. Haha that is SO funny! Once I was making cookies with my little sis and she only added like a third of the flour so they were goopy too. When we tried to cook them they were like a greasy flat nast! Haha.
I love this top! So, so pretty. And the floral + animal print is genius.

  28. I applaud you for wearing leopard like a neutral. That's the way to do it! The two patterns compliment each other so well.
I had a similar experience baking cookies. I was following a vegan recipe (no eggs, which means it doesn't bind quite the same) and I also misread the recipe and added, like, double the margarine (gross, I know). My cookies melted into puddles on the tray! Of course we still ate them, but I don't think they ever actually baked into anything besides a delicious, melted mess :) It happens to the best of us.

  31. Hah, that cookie recipe almost sounds like nutella! (anything you have to spread on bread with a spoon is awesome! Expect for maybe Vegemite...that stuff is a little weird.)

I love the soft, warm light in your photographs, it looks like it was such a lovely day. I don't know how you manage to do it but you always make F21 shoes looks SO expensive, these booties look like real leather. (And so perfect with the leopard skirt.) The floral print top is really different with the leopard printed skirt, I wouldn't have thought to mix those two patterns but it really works, it's got a great quirky vibe and takes a little of the OMGSEXY look out of the leopard print and makes it look more like a neural. (Hah, that makes no sense. :P)
