top and necklace: forever21//blazer: banana republic//jeans: aeo//shoes: charlotte russe
I was getting out of the car today and I saw a bunch of wasps which reminded me of the tracker jackers in the hunger games. Anyway, I am going to start making a list of books I want to read since the last time I read a book for fun was the hunger games. Any suggestions? :)
You always style these pants so perfectly! I really like the neutral colored top with the striped blazer, it's such perfect pattern mixing with the polka dotted pants. (Haha, I've tried pattern mixing with these pants and I haven't had any luck so far! I'll have to take notes from you and try softer patterns.)
ReplyDeleteIf you liked the Hunger games, I think you'd really enjoy anything by Robin McKinnley. She's a writer that's been around for a while but she does the most perfect fairy tale retelling and shes really a fabulous writer. (Sunshine, Rose Daughter or either of her Beauty and the Beast books are fantastic, The Blue Sword and Deerskin are also really good, but Deerskin is one of her darker books for sure.) I love the Horatio Hornblower books as well, they're sort of a Master and Command type series but very good. Umm, there's so many other good books but I'm drawing such a blank right now!
What a gorgeous peplum top! It looks simply stunning with that crystal necklace. Plus, stripes and polka dots? Perfection!
ReplyDeleteYou rock the polka dot pants so well Joyce! I love them each time you wear these :)
ReplyDeleteThat peplum top and blazer combo is so pretty. Chic!
Also, I'd recommend Divergent. I think you'd really like it if you're into Hunger Games. I keep meaning to pick up the next book in the series...I never have time to read anymore! :(

ReplyDeleteum Joyce did you just say that the last time you read something FOR FUN WAS THE HUNGER GAMES!? omg girl WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN. i probably shouldn't even be this worked up because of this but I'm a booknerd, so. HAHA like i read something like 120 books last year? i know, cray cray. BUT OKAY I HAVE SO MANY SUGGESTIONS FOR YOU. So if you liked the Hunger Games, you probably like dystopia books! So GO READ DIVERGENT (series) IT'S FREAKING AMAAAZING & there's going to be a movie(; Also try out The Maze Runner (trilogy) too, it's so goood. & Legend too! LKAJDFLKA;DFLAKJ OGM JOYCE OKAY SO YOU HAVE TO READ THE SHATTER ME SERIES IT'S LITERALLY SO GOOD LIKE I COULDN'T EVEN HANDLE IT I WAS SHAKING IT'S SO GOOD. & non dystopian books, you should read ALL of John Green's books if you haven't already! They tug on my heart strings(': Oh & if you like chick lits like me, read The Summer I Turned Pretty series!! SO GOOD. & Sarah Dessen books. & the Shiver series.
okay sorry i went a little crazy hahahhaha.
& why aren't you on your swim team anymore!? OH & do you have a twitter or something so we can talk more so I don't have to be a creep and leave 1000 word comments?(; kk, bye!!

Is it bad that I'm 30 and I LOVE Young Adult Fantasy/Paranormal?? LOL. I love the Twilight books and all that. I actually haven't read The Hunger Games, but I probably will eventually. Right now, I'm reading The Secret Circle series because I really liked the show when it was on last year.
ReplyDeleteI love those polka dot jeans. And the peplum top is so cute with the jacket. Great mix! <3

If you're into Fantasy/Adventure books, read Graceling! It's a quick read, but so so good. :) Or if you like historical mystery books, I recommend anything by Susanna Kearsely.
