asymmetrical skirt: urban outfitters// booties: charlotte russe// sweater vest: Banana Republic// top: lush (bp)// necklace: free press (nordstrom)
I was getting ready to go to school on Tuesday and when I opened my closet to get a jacket, I saw this huge spider. Like not even a size 9 times new roman kind of spider but a full on size 26 bolded Brittanic Bold kind of spider. After maybe 2 seconds of decision making, I ran away and decided I didn't need to wear a jacket anymore. It would be so awesome if I could remain calm when I see a spider. haha maybe someday :P
LOVE the booties. They look awesome with your super long sweater :) Which is awesome, by the way. And I am seriously loving the asymetrical skirt from UO!
ReplyDeleteOh and LOVE the analogy with the spider and the font sizes lol...that really put it into perspective for me. but omg you just ran and LEFT IT THERE??? is it still there?? ahhh i wouldve made my dad kill it. I would have woken him up and everything! :)

Dude, at least you didn't scream or do the silent dance of terror trying to fling it away. (Those are usually my two options and I always look/sound like a moron!) Spiders are scary stuff. :P
ReplyDeleteI know I always say how much I love your outfits, but I always do. You are hands down one of my favorite style bloggers, I'm just always in awe of your effortless style. I really like how you wore this loose cable vest, I have one similar to it and I just haven't figured out how to wear it yet!
And ooooh, those booties. I always, always drool over your footwear.
Urgh Joyce I wish I could tell you it gets easier over time but alas those buggers never cease to stop frightening! Hate spiders probably as much as I hate bees and I've had some real scary stories but I'm not going to scare you with them LOL! I love this navy vest, the colour is absolutely fabulous and come to think of it I don't think I've ever seen a vest in this shade! Amazing!

your floral skirt is so interesting- love the hemline!
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh, I absolutely hate spiders!! They are so gross and scary. We get black widows all the time here and they are so nasty. So so nasty. I don't know if I could have left it there. If it was on my clothes, I probably would have taken the clothes outside and left it there. Then when I got home, put it in the wash!! LOL. Scary.
ReplyDeleteI love that sweater cardigan though. They are so comfy and perfect for cool weather. :) <3

hahaha oh noooo! Poor Joyce!! I'm sorry that the giant spider scared you. I'm not afraid of spiders, but when there is a cockroach I scream and freak out until my dad comes in to kill it hahaha. Hopefully he will have moved out by the time you go to your closet again. He was probably just visiting. :)
ReplyDeleteI loove the colors in this outfit! That sweater vest looks super duper cozy and I love the layering that you've done here! And your hi-lo skirt is so pretty, too. You actually inspired me to buy one the other day! :D

i would freak out! ugh. once i didn't go into my bathroom (i have two) for like 3 days because there was a spider in there. my husband who lives in florida did the same thing with his closet locking a giant cockroach in it. then when i came to visit and opened the closet he was like 'yeah....you don't wanna do that.' and there it was, just staring at me. ugh.
ReplyDeleteANYHOW i LOVE that skirt. it's a really cute print and hem and your sweater looks so warm and cozy

haha! You remind me of one of my friends - she's petrified of all bugs..well, all animals really. Anyway, once there was a spider near her desk @ work and she screamed at the top of her lungs, then ran straight out of the building. Too funny. Also, don't grow up to be like her ;)
ReplyDeleteI just had to reread your analogy for the size of the spider to get it. lol You are clever!!
Anyway, the outfit - it's awesome. Like always.
