I'm guest posting at Ashley's blog, Twenties Girl Style, today for her "Yeah...I really own that" post series!Click HERE to see it :) And here's a sneak peek of the post:
I've been wearing this maxi dress so often ever since I got it. haha i'm really tempted to get it in all colors since it is seriously that comfortable. And here's a totally random story of something that happened while I was wearing this dress a few days ago:
me: *walking to the mailbox*
neighborhood kid 1(elementary school age): Joyce, are you going to a wedding? Your dress is so long.
neighborhood kid 2 (tiny bit older): Yeah, where are you going?
me: hahahah, i'm just getting the mail.
neighborhood kid 2: *loud whisper* see! I told you! She isn't getting married yet.
---------------------------------------------------------------
me (same day, this time I didn't belt the dress): *walking to go get something in the car*
neighborhood kid 1: Joyce, why are you going to sleep soon?
neighborhood kid 2: How come you're already wearing your pajamas?
--------------------------------------------------------------------
hahha so I guess belting this dress really does make a difference.

I wonder when will I start wearing a maxi dress (the only one I own).. or at least a maxi skirt (which I don't even own, haha). I think I eventually will. anyway, I loved reading those little dialogs and I think I see you wearing a maxi dress for the first time here. so it would definitely be interesting to see it in other (why not brighter?) colours as well. oh and those sandals are awesome too!

hahaha married! So long dresses = marriage these days? I'll be sure to consider that. Though I guess many bridesmaid dresses are longer... who knows! Still, those are such cute little dialogues you shared. :)

Haha! That is so funny that it went from a wedding to your pjs. I think maxis are super stylish and yet so comfy!

Haha I love your little stories, never fail to make me laugh xxx
ReplyDeletethe belt is so cute with both those outfits!!
ReplyDeleteI love Ashley's post series so I will definitely be heading over there! You look amazing in maxi, this seriously looks fantastic on you. Those kids don't know anything haha
ReplyDeleteThat story is so funny! I think a belt does great things for most dresses actually :). I really love seeing you in something different. I wore a maxi skirt over the weekend and it felt so weird! As for the big hairbow, I would put my hair up in a bun and then put the bow in right under your bun. So it looks extra cute in the back! I hope you figure out how to wear it ♥

That dress looks ridiculously comfy, and omg it's only $12.50?! I may have to run out to get one. Those were some funny stories associated with your dress. Your neighbors sound pretty adorable. Apparently they believe that the same dress that can be worn for a wedding can also easily segue into sleepwear. So cute :)

the belted maxi dress looks FANTASTIC!

Phhht, that story id the best! (I think it's particular funny that they think you were getting married in the first part, because who doesn't want to get married in a grey maxi? I guess boys think any long dress = faaaancy.) I can see why you love wearing this maxi, it's the perfect length, the perfect shade of gray and it just looks ridiculously comfortable. (So soft looking!) I really love it with the thick belt and the sandals, you have such a fun boho, almost 90s-ish look going on.
ReplyDeleteI wanted to say thank you so much for your sweet words the other day as well, you are so sweet and it really meant a lot to me to read those. Thank you and hugs! :)
Lol, love that back story you provided us with. Those kids sound like they really like you!
ReplyDeleteThe dress is so versatile I think it would look great with or without the belt. Although I do prefer it with the belt. Takes the look up a notch or two. :)
