My favorite winter accessory? scarves! Especially the chunky knit ones like the one I am wearing here. It's so warm and if there's free time in class, chunky scarves are great as a makeshift pillow. Really. It's awesome because I don't even have to take off the scarf I can just put my head on the desk and BAM a pillow has appeared before my very eyes.

Hahaha, that's so cute to think of sleeping on your scarf! I love big, fluffy infinity style scarves as well! Actually, I've tried sleeping in a car with one of those on as a neck support and it works well too!

Now I have a new way to wear my sweaters and skirts, I'm so excited! Thanks :) As far as chunky knit scarves go, I only have one, but then I always find them itching my chin so I end up tearing them off. Sigh.

Scarves would be my favorite winter accessory, too, if I had more of them! I haven't been able to find any cute chunky knit ones like yours. Guess I've gotta look harder!
ReplyDeleteYou're so cute, Joyce. And you so effortlessly styled blue booties which seems like it would be such a challenge. YER SO GOOD AT THAT.
Stay warm! I would send you hot cocoa but it would de-warm itself in the mail. ;(

Scarves ARE fantastic. Sadly I don't seem to have much time in my life for impromptu naps so I had no idea they make such great pillows. ;) you look super cute in this outfit!
ReplyDeleteAwesome combination! Especially love how you mixed military jacket with flowers print skirt!
ReplyDeletexoxo
Haha! Yes, I remember being in school and using whatever soft thing I could remove to use as a pillow. LOL. It's so funny that I have so many scarves, but I haven't worn any yet this year! Maybe I'm not so much of a scarf girl as I thought. But I can't get rid of them either. LOL. I'm weird, I know. Anyway, I love that scarf and that skirt is really cute! <3

It might be cold, but you make winter fashion look gooood. hahah never thought about using my scarf as a pillow. I like that idea!

Bahaha I love using scarves as pillows. So convenient. I love this jacket so much, and those shoes. You always have the best shoes!
ReplyDeleteHi Joyce, its great seeing some of your winter style, you always layer things so beautifully, this included, love the pretty skirt and gorgeous boots.
ReplyDeleteDude, how do you always have the best shoes from f21? Every time I look at their website I'm kind of "eh" about them and then I see you rocking a pair of f21 shoes and I'm blown away! (Sort of like that pair of beige payless sandals, I was never impressed with them inn the store but after seeing you wear yours so often and how cute they looked, I finally tried them on and was shocked.) I'm thinking some company needs to have you model and style their stuff because you always make it look cool. (American Apparel could use your help!)
ReplyDeleteI love this combination of the floral dress and the coat, I'm going to have to try something like this, it's so perfect looking!
I love your shoes!

Your outfit it´s lovely, the color are cold, but the same time are really wonderful, for example the skirt has a beautiful little flowers and one delicious purple color and that contrast with your green-gray jacket. The shoes are absolutely my favorites because they have aa strong color but a soft texture. Absolutely wonderful
ReplyDeleteXoxo♥
Love this outfit! I adore the addition of khaki.
ReplyDeleteThis is my favorite outfit of yours yet. The utilitarian look of the jacket looks amazing with such a girly look! Your sewing story was too funny, especially since I experienced something similar in the seventh grade! Except for me it was a lame backpack that fell apart. I hope to have better luck this time around. :P
ReplyDeleteMay the force be with you.

Ouuu yess scarfs are the most comfy warm thing ever!
ReplyDeleteAnd btw i love your booties, nice color!
LOL! I guess I've never looked or thought about using scarf that way! Maybe now for work it's good! LOL! Your shoes are definitely not the usual color but it does look really good when you matched it this way.
